GreatDomains.com.au — Buyer Terms

These terms apply when you make an offer to buy a domain name through GreatDomains.com.au ("GreatDomains", "we", "us", "our"). The domain names listed on our platform are owned by us. By making an offer, you agree to these terms and to any specific terms shown on the listing.

1. Making an offer

1. When you submit an offer to buy a domain name, you are making a binding and irrevocable offer to buy it from us on these terms.
2. Your offer stays open for us to accept for 3 business days from the time you submit it. You can't withdraw or change it during that time.
3. Making an offer does not mean you've bought the domain. You have no right to the domain, and no sale takes place, unless and until we accept your offer.

2. Acceptance and when the sale is made

1. We can accept or reject your offer at our discretion. We are not obliged to accept the highest offer, or any offer.
2. A binding contract of sale between you and us is formed only when we notify you that your offer has been accepted. We'll confirm this in writing (email is fine).
3. Up until that point, we may withdraw the listing or accept a different offer.

3. Your promises to us

When you make an offer, you promise that:

1. all information you give us — about yourself, your eligibility, and how you intend to use the domain — is accurate, complete and current, and you'll keep it up to date;
2. you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into the sale, including authority to act for any company or other entity you're buying on behalf of; and
3. for any .au or .com.au domain name, you meet — and will continue to meet — the eligibility and allocation requirements of the auDA Licensing Rules (including any Australian presence requirement). You understand the domain cannot be licensed or transferred to you if you don't.

You accept that we rely on these promises. If you give us information that is false or misleading, we may cancel your offer or the sale.

4. Payment

1. All prices and payments are in Australian dollars (AUD), unless we clearly state otherwise.
2. If your offer is accepted, you must pay the full purchase price — plus any fees or taxes shown at checkout — by the method we specify, within 5 business days of acceptance.
3. We may hold your payment through our payment provider until the domain transfer is complete.
4. If you don't pay within the 5 business days, we may cancel the sale and re-list the domain. You may also lose any deposit and be liable for our reasonable costs.

5. Identity checks and legal compliance

1. We may ask you to provide proof of identity, and any other documents or information we reasonably need, to confirm who you are, verify your eligibility, or meet our obligations under any law (for example, anti-money-laundering, sanctions, tax, or auDA requirements).
2. We may delay, suspend or cancel your offer or the sale if you don't provide what we ask for within a reasonable time, or if a check raises a concern we can't resolve.
3. We handle any personal information you give us in line with our Privacy Policy.
